The threat of potentially flooding rains fizzled over metro San Antonio early Saturday, as fast moving storms moved out of the area, and flash flood warnings were cancelled early, 1200 WOAI news reports.
The Weather channel says the region received less than an inch of rain, not the four inches which had originally been forecast.
CPS Energy's power outage map Saturday morning showed only one customer without power, and the Fire Department reported no high water rescues.
Neither San Antonio nor Bexar County reported any streets closed due to flooding.
The rain fell in squalls Friday afternoon and evening, but quickly washed into storm drains or into ground parched by the drought.
The forecast now is for cooler temperatures for the rest of of the weekend, lower humidity, and little chance of additional rain.
